Power 90 Day 1

Mark and I are starting a new fitness program. For the first six days we are also following the diet. (This poses a minor problem with Thanksgiving, but I think it will be okay.) After the six days I think we will go back to eating CORE, because the Power 90 diet is super expensive!! We have yet to take our pictures and measurements. I'll post those eventually - maybe after Day 30 when we see results. I'm excited to be starting something new...

Saw it. Loved it. I'm going back to see it again with Mark.
(My friends thought it was totally cheesy and were disappointed. I think I was expecting cheese. Either that or I'm not as invested, because I haven't finished the series.)

What's your husband’s name? Mark Andrew Romney

How long have you guys been married? 6 years 3 months
How long did you date? 6 months dating, 6 months engaged
How old is he? The big three-zero. (So am I, so it's perfect!)
Who eats more sweets? It's a tie. We both love yummy tasting treats!
Who is the better singer? Mark is totally a better singer - he used to do it as his job.
Who does the laundry? I wash the clothes and put them in the laundry basket where they sit for days. Then Mark and/or I get sick of pulling our clothes out of a pile and put them away together.
Who pays the bills? I am the bill payer in the family.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are facing the bed, then I sleep on the right. The other day Mark and I talked about switching sides. We haven't done it yet.
Who mows the lawn? Neither of us - the yard guy does it.
Who cooks dinner? Usually Mark cooks dinner. He is WAY more creative in the kitchen than I am. Sometimes I'll whip something up, but it is very rare.
Who drives? Around town: 50/50. Long trips: Mark drives most or all of the way.
Who is the first to say they are wrong? It depends on the argument.
Who kissed who first? I don't kiss and tell...just kidding. I can't remember. Isn't that sad?? It was like 8 years ago! I assume that Mark kissed me.
Who asked who out first? Mark claims that the first night we met he asked me over to his house to eat burritos (that is all they had in the freezer). I don't remember the burrito part, but I do remember going to get ice cream that night and I think I asked him for that.
Who wears the pants? Both of us?? Mark, what do you think?

Not my morning...

Cohen pooped in the tub. All I can say is that I'm glad I was stocked up with cleaning supplies in my laundry closet.

As I type, Cohen's bath toys are in the washing machine with this...

(I got a free sample of the Action Scrubber from the Sunday coupons. I must say that I am very pleased with the product. The only thing wrong with it is that I don't think it is very "green." Don't get it if you are concerned about saving the environment. I'm pretty sure this product has enough chemicals to kill a couple hundred trees. I'm still glad I have it - it is saving me from having to stand on poop remnants while I take a shower this morning. And let's face it...my feet not touching poop is more important than saving trees.)

Emergency? Natural disaster? Bring them on!

I finally feel at ease about our 72-hour kit. A couple months ago, my ward hosted an emergency preparedness Enrichment meeting. An emergency specialist from the City of Seattle came and talked to us about being prepared for anything that might happen. One of the things she said was to get a 72-hour kit into an easily mobile container. She suggested rolling luggage. I realized that our emergency kit was in a HUGE plastic container that weighed about a million pounds. I thought to myself, "If Mark is at work, how am I going to get Cohen, myself and that giant container out the door and into the car all while I am freaking out because the world around me is falling apart??" So, I took the expert's advice and bought a sturdy piece of rolling luggage at Good Will. Today I transferred our food into the luggage. Since the food is the heaviest part, I figured it would be good to have it on wheels. Everything else is in backpacks. I shoved it all into the coat closet. We're ready for an emergency!
