I'm having a love affair with my hot glue gun!

Thanks to Jill, I have a new favorite craft...baby wipes clutches!  Ladies, if you are pregnant, then expect one of these at your baby shower.

Crafty Mandy

Cohen has been getting neglected, because I've been busy making cards and baby items. It's been so fun!!!!!

I stole the next idea from here and here.

These were so easy and I'm happy to say they were a hit at the baby shower!

Product Recall

Have you ever had to deal with a product recall? I just got notified that Cohen's crib has been recalled. Major bummer. Something about the wooden slats breaking causing strangulation. (Yikes.) So, now we are going through the recall process. It's kind of a pain and it takes a couple of weeks to process. The company instructs us to discontinue use of the crib immediately. What I want to know is what is Cohen going to sleep in while we wait for our voucher to arrive???? (Is it bad that I just want to let him still sleep in there until we are able to get a new crib? Yes, I'm one of those parents...)

Meat Markdown

Do you ever browse the discounted meat at the grocery store? I always do. It can be pretty hit or miss. Sometimes I find a great deal and other times I'm not interested in anything. For example, today at Safeway there was a 18.4 ounce pork tenderloin in the discount bin. I thought it might be kind of questionable because the date on the package is today. However, the meat looked fine and it was only $1.99! So I bought it and threw it in my freezer. It normally sells for $9.99. I love great deals!!

Cohen ate dinner!!!

http://www.flickr.com/photos/qaby/3190572591/

About three weeks ago, Cohen stopped eating dinner. Anything we put in front of him went uneaten. Dinnertime became a major challenge. I researched on the internet and found many helpful ideas - serve tiny portions so the meal isn't intimidating, serve one familiar/well liked food item, disguise veggies in other foods... One that I thought was so lame was to position the food on a plate to look like a smiley face. We tried many of the ideas except the last one. We had very little luck. Cohen would take one, maybe two bites and then say he was done. Tonight I made some mini meatballs and frozen mixed veggies - nothing exciting. I thought, "There is no way Cohen is going to eat this." Then I remembered the one thing we hadn't tried yet. So, while I rolled my eyes, I carefully placed the food on a plate to look like a face. I showed it to Cohen and pointed out the eyes, nose and mouth. He got so excited, climbed into his highchair and reached for the plate. He dove into the food right away. He barely took a break to say the prayer. He continued to eat almost everything on his plate!!!! Mark and I almost started crying! We kept looking at each other mouthing the words, "He's actually eating!!!!!"
