My new favorite website

While on a search for toddler-friendly-healthy snacks, I ran across this website. I read great article after great article...stuff I can actually use. Then I noticed the Toddler Music Center. That is when I fell in love. We are always looking for fun, kid-safe music to listen to in our house. This music totally fits the bill. Anyway, enjoy browsing.

Recommitment
I went back to Weight Watchers today. I haven't been to a meeting for six months. I've realized that sometimes I just need a break from trying so hard to eat right. Sometimes I want to eat trail mix for lunch. Sometimes I want to eat out a couple of days in a row and order anything that sounds good. And, sometimes I want to not worry if my diet is Core or not. So, I took a long break and it felt good. However, it's time to get back into good eating habits.
I don't do Weight Watchers to lose a bunch of weight. It's more of a "check in" for me. I'm still within my goal weight and I still fit into my clothes. I just want to be conscious of what I put into my body.
Since I went to my last meeting, everything changed. Weight Watchers did away with the Core and Flex plans and now has a new plan called Momentum. It is kind of like a combination of the two old plans. I am sad to say that I am going to truly miss the Core plan. It is easy to be lazy on the Core plan. On Momentum I need to be more careful about my portion sizes and there are no longer any free foods. I was complaining about it a little to Mark and he said, "You know you don't have to quit Core. You were so successful on it. You can still do it." I realized that while I can still do the Core plan, I'm kind of ready for a change. And I'm in the mood for a little challenge. So, Momentum, bring it on! I'm ready.

Sayonara Facebook
I quit Facebook. It was fun while it lasted, but I am trying to cut some things out. E-mail and Blogger bumped Facebook.
So this is what happens when you quit. First a screen pops up that tells you how your friends will miss you...specific friends. Like your sister-in-law and best friend...
Then, like the guilt trip isn't enough, they argue with your reason for quitting. For example, check our what happens when you say, "I don't find Facebook useful." A whole paragraph pops up!!

I still quit Facebook.

I Heart Trader Joes
A Trader Joes just opened about a mile away from us. We have always been fans of the store, but having one so close makes us love it even more.
Reasons I love Trader Joes:
(1) When someone rings the bell next a register. (I don't know why I like this - I just do.)
(2) The inexpensive prices and free parking.
(3) The variety of organic and high quality foods.
(4) Free samples. Even better - when the sample lady sees that I have a screaming toddler, she hands me a cup of animal crackers from her secret stash. Then I buy a container for our house.
(5) Four words: Honey Wheat Pretzel Sticks (I don't know one person who doesn't absolutely love these!)
